ABC 33/40 – Birmingham News, Weather, Sports
I’ve been to a lot of places – Italy, France, Brazil, you name it. But I’ve never been to Alabama. So when I booked a Fall must-haves segment on “Talk of Alabama” in Birmingham, I was ready for BBQ brisket, grits and everything else that goes with being “down South.” A friend of mine, Tara Gray, is a host for Direct Shopping Network and former Miss Alabama, and she told me great things about this charming place!
ABC 33/40 not only airs in Birmingham, it also airs in Tuscaloosa and Anniston. As soon as I was handed a bowl of Chili for breakfast, I knew I could fit in perfectly. I really enjoyed being part of the show and getting a taste of real Southern Hospitality! Oh and this REALLY HAPPENED: On my walk from my car to Jim n Nick’s (the best BBQ in the area – a chain like TGI Friday’s), a man actually tipped his hat to me and said, “Good afternoon, Miss.” Only in the South!
