Bring on the guac, margs and sombreros!

April 16, 2012

When the sun starts shining in NYC and the flowers bloom, all I can think about is the beach! And shopping! And Italian water ice! Not necessarily in that order.

My Monday took a delightful twist with a few emails regarding a press trip to….drumroll please …. Cabo San Lucas – MEXICO! (OR….MEY-HEE-KO….As we learned in high school Spanish class with Senora Fontaine.) I’ve only been to Cabo once — also on a press trip — courtesy of LG, you know, the company that makes the TVs, phones and other electronics. We stayed in a private villa with a private pool, a private chef, a private driver and a private beach. Did I mention there were many things that were “private” about this trip? I was only there for 2 days — in fact I spent more time traveling to get there and return than I probably did in the actual destination (let’s not even get into my 6 hour layover in the Mexico City airport in the middle of the night —- CREEEPY — and there is an extra “E” in that word for a reason). This time around, we’ll be gone for 5 days full of ATV tours, massages, zip-lining tours and more.

I wasn’t very familiar with the two properties I’m booked to stay at: the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf & Spa Resort followed by two nights at The Westin Resort & Spa, Los Cabos so I checked them out online.

Bring on the guac, margaritas and siestas!!!!!
